Saas Fee Powder!

Dear Jake,

Always on the run, Euro TM checked in at Saas-Fee for a photoshoot and worldcup comp. Due to heavy snowfalls, both mountain and road to and from the village were closed today! We met up with Global Team gun and Saas-Fee local, F to the Kalbermatten, at his crib "Dorfblick".
Stoked we showed up, he spun some vinyl and we ended up with our own little private DJ show.
Freddi's really talented at spinning the turntables, but it doesn't even get close to his spinning skills on the shredstick!
By the time you read this, our alarm will already have gone off for tomorrow's first chair wake-up call. We'll do some pow turns for you!

Later,

your Euro crew.

Grilo is fine

Dear Jake,

I thought I'd pass on the info so you can sleep well tonight: Grilo's fine, he did actually dislocate his hip but it wasn't really that bad. The doctors managed to put the bone back into place without cutting him open, so he'll be riding that shredstick of his soon again.

He was still a bit dizzy when he called me, saying that he "was puffing the laughing gas like there ain't no tomorrow!". Well then, have fun recovering Marko!

London calling 2

Dear Jake,

They cancelled yesterday's best trick contest in favour of the skier's comp. How's that???
Anyways, the worldcup went down as planned today. The venue was packed with beer drinking English blokes and fit ladies (beer drinking all the same). They actually made for a really motivated and loud crowd, so the riders were pumped!
Unfortunately, we had a casualty to report early when Grilo scorpioned from hell after catching his edge on the ride out of a Frontside Ten, and most likely dislocated his hip. No definite word on the injury yet, so we're hoping for the best. Get well soon again Grilo!!
The others kept going, and Peetu disappointed neither the crowd nor the Queen by taking first spot with an amazing Cab Ten and Backside Rodeo 9! On fire, that kid, and he don't stop!
To round up the team performance, Trevor made his way to London to give a concert at the venue right after the pricegiving. Trouble's supporting act of Cypress Hill tonight! Go chase money for love, then take some hits from the bong.

London calling

Dear Jake,

It's us again, Europe. London was calling, and off we went for the "Freeze" in-city bigair. Today's qualification event was at the same time supposed to be the British Bigair Championships  - and as the smoke cleared, a Slovenian rider took first, Swedish second, and French third place. Say no more!!

The Burton squad was holding it down, Grilo took best trick looking pretty bored while throwing a double backflip, and Kevin Backstrom qualified for Saturday´s main event on the second spot with ill Tens.

Log in tomorrow again to see how we´re doing here in good old England. I´ll go have a pint now.

Kaunertal Glacier Opening

Dear Jake,

It's us, Team Europe. To keep you in the loop, last weekend we made our way to Kaunertal Glacier to check out the opening event. It's a classic, man! The crowds were welcomed by perfect weather, a neat little minishred park and shiny icy landings on the contest kickers - for the ones who dared! Grilo and Sani came along to show everybody what's up - check out their action shots on the balance board!

stay tuned,

your TM Europe
