Sweden, Vol. 6

Dear Jake,

So that's it, we're back home after a sick week of shooting. After our last session in Mora, we drove to Falun (and almost ran over two gigantic elks on the way!!) to spend our last night at Ludwinch's parents' holiday home, some miles outside of town. The sickest place ever! Lena and Per woke us up in the morning with an ill breakfast ready on the table, thanks a lot for taking care of us so well! Killer times in Sweden. We'll be back!

sweden, Vol. 5

Dear Jake,

The last day of the trip started off lazier than the previous ones, knowing we killed it the day before and that there was no filmer to capture the action. We left Ludde's place, drove about an hour south to check out the city of Mora for a last mission, and ended up finding the sickest spot on the town's landmark. I would've bet my pinky that we'd get busted in a second there - but just like the whole week, the Swedish police just did not care about us shredding in town. Actually nobody did, late night pedestrians didn't even turn around to the roaring sound of the winch towing the boys in! What an epic place this country is!!

Sweden, Vol. 4

Yo Jake,

We moved down to Malung yesterday, Ludde "LudWinch" Leikner's hometown, scoped some spots and shot another allnighter. We totally milked it and got home tired but stoked! LudWinch unfortunately hurt his thumb the day before and wasn't able to shred himself, but he was still hanging out, drove his winch and let us crash at his place. Thanks Ludde! Blom has been around shooting the past days too, he just left back to Stockholm with Johannes, our filmer homie. So we're on a photo-only mission for today, our last day out here. Let's see what we'll get!

Sweden, Vol. 3

Dear Jake,

You know those days when nothing comes together, no matter how hard you try? Today was one of those days out here. We tried, fell, will get up and try again tomorrow.

It's still snowing!

Sweden, Vol. 2

Dear Jake,

Shooting until 4 am, getting up around noon, grab some food and continue the nightshoot mission again at 2 pm (since it's getting dark at that time) - that's the rhythm we got into during the past two nights. Plus, it's been snowing for 48 hours straight now, this place looks like winter wonderland! First tracks with the cars on the parking lot of our place when we came back early morning. Now say you're not jealous!

Sweden, Vol. 1

Dear Jake,

With Chris "Storman" Sörman, Stephan "Mu" Maurer and Ludwig "Ludde" Leikner, I have a sick crew up here in Sweden ready to get creative in the streets. Since our main destination Stockholm had seen temperatures above the freezing point the past week and no snow is left there, we made our way up to Sälen today. After two days of travelling, stoked to finally be on the spot and ready to get going!

Check back the following days to get updates on our shoot here!

Sani "caught up" on tws.com

Dear Jake,

Homeboy Sani, guy you shipped a board to for the "In Short" intro, has a sweet "caught up" on the Transworld homepage. Read some wise words from a man who's been around forever, just like you.

Early Season Shred

Dear Jake,

It was a crazy weekend on the slopes around Innsbrooklyn. With quite a bit of fresh on the mountain tops, but only three glacier resorts open yet in the area, one had to fight for his right to shred under the blue skies the weekend held ready for us! Stubaier Gletscher, the closest all-year-round place to shralp, counted 10'000 people on the mountain on Saturday!!!
Lucky you if you're a pro. Cause then you just skip the weekend, and go shred again when everybody else is back at work. These shots here came to us today from Stephan "Mu" Maurer's cellphone, straight to our computer in the office. Thanks for nothing!!

Chris "Storman" Sörman

Dear Jake,

I'm sure you saw Storman's Onboard Covershot already, right? Representin'! What you haven't seen yet is this Fan Poster draw, from the pen of Sami Saarenpää. If you have met Chris before, you will understand!

Have a good weekend, your TM Europe.

Dachstein Pleasure Jammin' - vol.2

Dear Jake,

A perfect park setup, blue skies and a strong field of riders made for a sick day up at Der Dachstein for Pleasure Jam's finals. Once Eero Ettala throws in a switch double backflip as part of his slopestyle run, you know that this is not just your random Sunday afternoon shred!! Hell, we saw amazing riding yesterday afternoon. Chris Sorman represented the way we know and love him, going big and technical. Watch him ride park is so amazing, he makes it all look so easy! Well deserved 4th place for him as the smoke cleared. Andreas Wiig took the win, did a switch backside 9, frontside 10 and backside rodeo 9 run. Any more questions? Highlight of my day though was our grom from Belgium, Seppe Smits, who landed himself on the second spot throwing down every trick you can name with more pop, control, style and stomp than just about any rider out there!! Kid's 17 years old and grew up in the flatlands of the north riding fridges, how's that? Big props to you, Seppe. Killer!

Dachstein Pleasure Jammin' - vol.1

Dear Jake,

Rain in the morning, everything else in between and a breathtaking sunset in the evening - that was semifinal day at Der Dachstein during Pleasure Jam. Sami Saarenpää, Stephan Maurer, Seppe Smits, Christian Haller and Chris Sörman all qualified for Sunday's finals. At this point, we can tell that "Mu" Maurer will be 2nd on the TTR world ranking list by tomorrow evening. For everything else, just check back on this blog section.

Bella Italia! vol. 2

Dear Jake,

Giorgio Ciancaleoni is a name you should remember for the future (or maybe learn to pronounce it right, first!). Kid's 17 years old, obviously Italian, and goes off like a Ferrari: Fast, loud, and with plenty of power and style at the same time. His skills landed him on the first spot of Burton's "Stomp It" hip contest in Modena - congratulazine Giorgio!
Mu made third spot going big for the crowd, and rounded up an ill team performance of the Burton Euro squad.
After the best dinner on the planet in proper Italian manner, the boys were rocking the dancefloor with their fans from Italy until early hours!
